Yes I know. It’s been months and months since I last posted, and I do humbly apologize. It has been a most eventful year so far and other duties and issues were made a priority, but I hath returned! Let’s catch you up…Broken Bones, Tattoos & Marriage!
Broken Bones. In March, right after my birthday, whilst running up wood stairs in socks, (don’t do that. Just don’t.) I fell and broke my foot. Spiral fracture of the 5th metatarsal. Ouch. As you can imagine this put quite a damper on my Spring activities. Thankfully I am now mostly healed.
Tattoos. I began a new career path in July 2015, to add a new creative skill to my artistic arsenal, tattooing. I was very blessed that the great tattoo artist Dave Allen agreed to take me on as his apprentice, and I officially graduated to full-fledged Tattoo Artist in July of this year. I am now working at Preying Mantis Tattoo in Lakewood, CO. (and now accepting appointments!) Here is a small sample of my wares, see more by clicking the “Tattoos” link at www.vlasicstudio.com
And finally, marriage. In August of this year, my love of 10 years and I tied the knot in a sunset ceremony at Burning Man, deep in the Nevada desert. (and yes, I dyed my dress and put pink lights in it. It was Burning Man after all, no ordinary wedding dress would do 🙂
And now, we are (mostly) recovered from our wedding/honeymoon trip, back to work and gearing up for Fall. I am preparing for a big Halloween decorating post later this week, and there will be more goodies to come later this month. Well those are the highlights of the last year-ish. Thanks for hanging in there. I shall endeavor to post more regularly now that all the big stuff is done.
